OUR FOUNDER
Who is Bishop Robert M. Paris, M.A., D.D.?
Bishop Robert M. Paris has been involved in many fields of ministry since he was ordained in 1976, by the now non-existant Church of Gospel Ministry, which was founded by Rev. Dr. Irving O. Tarbox, in Chula Vista, CA. As a layman he had been involved with a Christian Coffeehouse Ministry in the late 60's and early 70's. The Coffeehouse was called "The Cornerstone" it was located in Fort Worth, Texas. But sadly the days of the Coffeehouse ministries came to an end. Bishop Paris has also been active in Rodeo Ministry, and for a time ministered with Transport for Christ, a ministry to those in the Trucking Industry. Bishop Paris has also ministered to those in the Occult and the Cults. He has a direct involvement approach and has studied many spiritual paths in order to fully understand where they go astray from the truth as revealed in the Bible. He has also served as a Volunteer Firefighter and Chaplain for several Volunteer Fire Departments in both Texas and Arkansas.
He was born in 1956, and had 5 major birth defects, and in fact was not expected to live beyond age 2. That is where the Lord stepped in and showed the Doctors what a miracle is. He has done many things that have gone beyond the expectations and pioneered many new path in dealing with his disabilities. Another disability that came in later in life is PTSD and that is part of what led him to persue a Doctorate in Ministries with emphasis in Christian Counseling. He is an active member of the National Association of Christian Ministers. As for his personal style of counseling he has been influenced by the independent studies he did in the 70's of the works of Dr. Jay E. Adams and the Nouthetic School of Counseling, Bishop Paris has a genuine love for people and a desire to see those who are suffering set free!
